Alonzo and Tracy Mourning host The Crown Royal Black Lounge to kick off Irie Weekend

It's always a party in Miami if DJ Irie is spinning his beats on the turntables! This past weekend, DJ Irie celebrated his 7th Annual three-day action packed charity event called "Irie Weekend" and he also introduced his recently founded Irie Foundation. To kick off the weekend's festivities, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning [pictured on the left] hosted an exclusive party at Mokai in South Beach. Guests who attended "The Crown Royal Black Lounge" enjoyed complimentary cocktails and music by celebrity DJ Jazzy Jeff. All proceeds raised throughout the weekend benefited the Irie Foundation and the Make-A-Wish of Southern Florida. Throughout the evening, celebrities joined DJ Irie to kick off the weekend in true Miami fashion. I spotted Reggie Bush, Suzie Ketchum and Jonathan Vilma showing their support for this great cause. Check out my pictures from The Crown Royal Black Lounge:

Did I mention it was also DJ Irie's birthday this past week? In honor of his birthday, Plum TV in Miami Beach presented him with a beautiful cake pictured below. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

The Irie Foundation seeks to improve the lives of South Florida youth through educational and extracurricular opportunities that may not otherwise be available to them. With a particular emphasis on the arts, the foundation's ultimate goal is to improve the graduation rate among the young people it serves. Middle school students will be mentored and encouraged to remain in the program through high school and will receive scholarship money towards college or trade school tuition. For more information, visit the foundation's website.

Above Left: One of my favorite former University of Miami football players, Jonathan Vilma, attended the kick off party on Thursday night. Vilma currently plays for the New Orleans Saints [a.k.a. this year's Super Bowl champs]. GO CANES! Above Right: The fabulous Suzie Ketchum who stars in the VH1 reality show called Basketball Wives. Watch Suzie every Monday evening at 8 p.m.

I'd also like to introduce you to Rudy Duthil and Lizmarys Duthil [pictured on the right] of the Results Driven Agency (RDA), producers of The Crown Royal® Black™ Lounge event." If you missed this exclusive party on Thursday, follow @theCrownLifeMia on twitter to learn about future Crown Royal® Black™ Lounge events in South Florida. You never know who you'll bump into in Miami so stay connected and check out these local events. See you at next year's Irie Weekend and remember to always drink responsibly! Final show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim: Australian Beauties & a HOT Lifeguard!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim has officially come to an end in Miami. It has truly been an amazing experience to attend this prestigious international event full of talented designers and breathtaking runway shows. On Monday, July 19th, I attended a group show at The Raleigh Hotel featuring Lisa Maree, Kooey Swimwear Australia, Aquarella Swimwear and Lisa Blue. The night kicked off with an energetic vibe thanks to a special guest on the runway: Lisa Maree's Lifeguard (pictured above). It was definitely a clever way to grab everyone's attention! Throughout the show, each designer presented their 2011 swim collection by adding their own exciting element to the night. Check out my photos from the evening:

Top Left: Suzie Ketcham and Royce Reed from VH1's Basketball Wives sat in the front row to preview the 2011 swim collections. Top Right: Annie Vazquez from NBC Miami along with yours truly!

Lisa Maree was the first collection to hit the runway on Monday night. This is a new line designed by model Lisa Maree. Inspired by Australia's beach culture, the collection gave the audience a dose of intricate patterns like the criss-crossed swimsuit shown above.

Above: These were my favorite looks from the Lisa Maree fashion show. I can't get over the rich blue color on the left and the details woven into the swimsuit on the right.

Above: Ladies, here's a second look at Lisa Maree's Lifeguard. I know you like the eye candy...enjoy!!!

Above: A stunning black bikini from the 2011 Lisa Blue collection. I was truly impressed by the Australian designer behind this brand, Lisa Burke, who's passion for swimwear has allowed her to protect the marine environment. A full 25% of the net profit from Lisa Blue is donated to the Australian Whale Conservation Society. It is inspiring to see a designer who gives back to an important cause.

Above: Lisa Burke (pictured on the right) is known for incorporating Australia's unique Aboriginal style into her swimwear designs. To read Lisa Burke's complete story, visit her website and listen to the call of the whales. Cheers to a fabulous week of swimwear and thank you to all of my Sazoneros who have been keeping up with my special coverage! xoxo

Evelyn Lozada showcases Georgina Goodman's Summer Collection at Dulce in Coral Gables!

Last night, Dulce hosted an exclusive shopping event at their Coral Gables boutique to debut Georgina Goodman's 2010 collection. The night was full of sexy stars and the summer's hottest shoes! Dulce owners, Rebecca Brothers and Evelyn Lozada, star of VH1's Basketball Wives, welcomed guests as they enjoyed the trendsetting duo's newest collection. Celebrities like Suzie Ketcham (star of VH1's Basketball Wives), Fabian Basabe, Al Reynolds (Star Jones' former husband) and Shaniece Lozada attended the event to check out the new merchandise! Throughout the evening, guests sipped on champagne while others tried on their favorite pair of amazing stilettos. To view the collection or to shop online, visit www.DulceShoes.net. Here are my favorite photos from the event:

Suzie Ketcham, Shaniece and Evelyn Lozada strike a pose with Georgina Goodman's LOVE stilettos. Notice the heels on these shoes have Georgina's signature stripes. The new collection also features a "Made in Love" imprint on the sole of every heel. Definitely unique!

To my fashionistas: the boutique now carries jewelry by Angelica Smith, a Colombian born designer. All of her pieces are one-of-a-kind. Angelica's hoops, necklaces and opulent earrings are known for their light weight so swing by to check them out!

I caught Mitch Aug shopping around Dulce. Visit Mitch's Daily Dish for the latest celebrity news and gossip. I love her blog!

Evelyn Lozada, Fabian Basabe, Shaniece, Suzie Ketcham and Al Reynolds. Did I mention Evelyn wore three different pairs of shoes throughout the night from Georgina Goodman's collection? FIERCE! InterContinental Miami hosts an exclusive kick-off event for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

On Thursday, May 27th, Miami's philanthropists and celebrities were invited to a private cocktail reception at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami. The event: a kick-off celebration for this year's 16th Annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball. During the evening, more than 200 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while watching a slideshow from last year’s ball, which raised more than $1 million for the nonprofit’s children in need. The list of prominent guests who were in attendance included Evelyn Lozada (star of VH1's Basketball Wives; pictured above- photo by Johnny Louis), Courland Lantiff (Ocean Drive Magazine's Publisher), Kamal Hochtdani (CEO of Haute Living Magazine), Michael Capponi and Celeb Attorney Bradford Cohen. Finally, you cannot have a celebration without Miami's own DJ Irie! The Make-a-Wish Foundation has one mission with every wish: to exceed a child’s expectations, transporting them from a world of doctors and hospitals to a world where anything is possible. A true gift for any child...

Aleksandra Eriksson, Edward Freedman, EJ Bowmen and Shareef Malnik attended the cocktail reception last week (photo from NBC6 Miami). Mr. Malnik serves as the Chairman of the Make-a-Wish Ball and is also the Proprietor of The Forge Restaurant Wine Bar (432 41st Street, Miami Beach).

Since 1983, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Today, the organization grants a local child’s wish every 16 hours. Truly amazing!
