Betsy Johnson presents their "Sailor Betsy" Fashion Show at Grand Central in Miami

Sazoneros! You may have noticed that I took a little hiatus from my blog but I'm back with plenty of exciting festivities to share. If you're into music, I totally recommend you check out the incredible line-up of talent taking over South Beach for Ultra Week. For my sporty spices, make sure you visit one of the world's largest tennis tournaments taking place in our own backyard for the next two weeks...The Sony Ericsson Open! Oh, don't think I forgot about my fashionistas. This week, there's a whole lot of fabulosity in the air as Funkshion brings hip fashion designers [like Richie Rich] to Miami. After you're done soaking in Funkshion, mark your calendar for this one: on Saturday, April 2nd, swing by Miami's Grand Central to watch the "Betsy Sailor: A Betsy Johnson Fashion Show" featuring sounds by Mike Deuce and Josh Lecash. Sanrio hosts an Art Exhibition called "Small Gift Miami" to Celebrate their 50th Anniversary


Check it out Sazoneros: Sanrio is in town and right on time for Art Basel!!!! Here's a sneak peak at the global brand's special art exhibition and pop-up shop called "Small Gift Miami." The event will be open to the public starting today, December 2nd, through December 5th in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District during Art Basel. This exhibition will showcase three stunning 35-foot wall installations created by artists CRASH, POSE and Anthony Lister. You can also check out a 35-foot visual timeline of the history of Sanrio & neon. For all of the fans and collectors out there, visit the special pop-up retail store which features exclusive 50th Anniversary merchandise and collectible items. Weekend Must: Keva by Keva J presents an "Ode to Barbie Fashion Show " at SET Nightclub

If you miss the days when Barbie was your bestfriend, reconnect with your gal during the "Ode to Barbie®" fashion show at SET Nightclub! On Friday, August 19th, MOD Media invites you to a fun night of Barbie® inspired fashion by swim designer Keva by Keva J. The Ode to Barbie® collection was an instant hit during this year's MOD Swim Week! Its girly hues of pink, ruffles and fun textures embody the everlasting beauty of America's 50-year old style icon, Barbie®. Miami's own Chez Badeaux Salon will provide hair and makeup for the show. “It’s a Barbie World! We are huge fans of Keva J at the salon and can’t wait to knock your socks off with the amazing hair and makeup looks we have created,” says salon owner Sabrina Badeaux Nagaki. Egyptian Artifacts coming to Miami Beach!

Take a stroll through ancient history by visiting the newest Egyptian Gallery to arrive in South Florida. The Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach will be hosting "A Night at the Museum" on Thursday, April 29th from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. to reveal their collection of Egyptian artifacts. The evening features informal tours by Bass Museum's Executive Director Silvia Cubiña and Brooklyn Museum's Egyptologist and special exhibition curator, Dr. Edward Bleiberg. A Night at the Museum will feature cocktails by Grey Goose Vodka and tasty desserts by Stella's Sweet Shoppe. All attendees can enter a raffle to win a VIP Package for Art Basel Miami Beach. The only catch: this premiere event is exclusively for "members." To attend, you can purchase a one-year membership for the Bass Museum of Art (membership fee- $125).
